Privacy Policy

This page explains what data gets processed when you visit Clash Guide (clashshuoming.com, referred to below as "this site"), how it's handled, and where the boundaries are. It's a short read, so we recommend going through it once; if you run into an unfamiliar term, check our glossary.

1. Scope

This policy covers browsing on this site's own pages only. The client apps we link to (such as Clash Plus, Clash Verge Rev, etc.) are independently developed open-source or commercial projects, and how they handle data on your device is governed by each project's own policy, not this one. Once you click a link on this site to an outside destination (app stores, official client sites, etc.), that destination's policy applies from that point on.

2. What Data We Collect

This site is fully static, with no sign-up, login, comments, or form submissions, which means:

• We never collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other directly identifying information;
• We don't require or store any account credentials;
• We don't collect subscription links, node info, or config file contents entered into client apps — that data lives only on your own device and this site's pages have no way to read it.

To report an error on a page or suggest an improvement, follow the guidance on the FAQ page and in the documentation; this site doesn't offer an email contact channel.

3. Visitor Analytics

To understand how each page is being read and how much traffic it gets, this site runs a self-hosted analytics tool. It logs: the page URL visited, timestamp, browser and OS type, screen resolution, referring page, and a processed form of the network address. This data is used only to:

• Track how often each tutorial page is read, to prioritize which content needs updating;
• Analyze the mix of devices and browsers in use, to improve layout on narrow screens;
• Spot broken pages and unusual bounce patterns, so internal links can be fixed.

Analytics data is kept on our own self-managed server. It is never shared with ad networks or data brokers, never used to build personal profiles, and never used for cross-site tracking.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Features on this site itself (language switching, remembering your platform tab on download pages, etc.) run on URL parameters and page anchors, with no cookies involved. The analytics tool may set a small number of first-party cookies to tell repeat visits apart from new ones on the same browser; these cookies contain no personal information and only work on this site's domain. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time — browsing, reading tutorials, and downloading are all unaffected.

5. Third-Party Links and Download Sources

Our download pages round up install sources for several clients, and some links point to app stores (such as the App Store), a client's official site, or a distribution server. A few notes on that:

• Once you leave for an outside site, that site's own privacy policy governs your activity there — read their terms before submitting any information;
• Always grab installers through the links on our download pages or the client project's own official channels, and steer clear of unofficial mirrors of unknown origin;
• This site is not responsible for changes, uptime, or data practices on any external site.

6. Policy Updates

This policy may be revised from time to time as the site evolves. Updates get posted directly on this page, with the "Last updated" date at the top refreshed accordingly — we won't send a separate notice. Continuing to browse the site means you accept whatever version is currently in effect. If a revision involves a meaningful change to what data we collect (say, a new analytics dimension), we'll spell it out clearly in the relevant section below rather than bury it in vague wording. If you care about how your data is handled, it's worth checking back here occasionally — this page is short, and reading it beats guessing.
