APPENDIX / PART-AB01

About This Site

This is the appendix at the back of the manual: what this site is, where the content comes from, and the rules we maintain it by. About a minute to read—faster than assembling furniture.

What This Site Is

  • A visual Clash manual for beginners: client downloads, subscription import, proxy modes, and rule-based routing, broken down step by step.
  • One goal: follow along, get online in ten minutes, no need to learn protocol theory first.
  • The download page rounds up available clients for Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and Linux, with picks for each platform.

The Clash Ecosystem in One Breath

  • "Clash" started as an open-source proxy core. After the original author stopped maintaining it, the community fork Clash Meta took over and was later renamed mihomo, now the leading actively maintained core.
  • The apps you actually open—Clash Verge Rev, FlClash, Clash Plus, and the like—are GUI clients built on top of the core: the core does the heavy lifting, the client saves you from typing commands.
  • Tutorials on this site are written for clients built on the mihomo core by default; differences with legacy cores are called out separately in the text.

Content Maintenance Policy

  • Every download channel is source-checked before it goes live, and links are checked on a regular basis—dead links come down immediately.
  • Tutorial steps are run through on real devices on the matching platform before publishing, so screenshots and instructions actually match.
  • When a client stops getting updates or overhauls its UI, the article gets revised to match; anything that turns out wrong gets rewritten from the step where it broke.
  • If something's unclear, check the FAQ first—most snags have already been hit and answered; for hands-on issues, see the setup guides.
